Reasons why electronic loads need relay overvoltage protecti

In practice, have you ever encountered the question why electronic loads need relays for overvoltage protection?

First, we need to know what a relay is. Normally, the rated voltage of the relay is 380/220v. The selection of relay usually depends on two parameters: rated current and control voltage. The rated current must be greater than the rated current of the load (fan) (generally, the current can be calculated according to the empirical formula of power number x 2-3). Control voltage refers to the rated voltage of the relay coil, pay attention to the voltage of the control loop.
Why do electronic loads need relays for overvoltage protection? Since the relay has components to prevent electronic high voltage pulses, the voltage-related resistor R471 works in the first stage of the rectifier bridge, thus playing the role of surge absorption, preventing damage to the main circuit elements, diode shunt bypass capacitors, thermal elements, PTC overvoltage protection circuit, etc., with transient overvoltage protection function. It also provides the power supply lightning protection function, indicating that the component can protect against lightning and overcurrent voltage.
